Description

Silver Limit pocket watch, 1922.

The watch has a stem-winding movement which is working nicely. The movement is signed Limit, a company based in Oldham in the UK who imported Swiss movements from Thommen. The movement is protected by an inner hinged cover.

The watch measures 50mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The case is silver and there are hallmarks inside the two case backs for Birmingham 1922 with a maker's mark for Aaron Dennison of the Dennison Watch Case Company, a prolific manufacturer of cases for various watch makers. The case has a bruise on the bevel and another on the back of the watch, just under the stem.

The acrylic lens is in good condition.

The signed white enamelled dial has a small chip to the edge at number 9 but it is barely visible to the naked eye.

The watch will be sent in a new presentation box.
