Fine late C18th George III period miniature mahogany tripod-base dish-top table.
Beautifully made apprentice piece or salesman's sample miniature mahogany table or kettle-stand . Raised on an inverted leg 'umbrella' tripod base , well-turned elegant column supporting a tipping dished circular top . The underneath of the top with a well-made steel clip mechanism.
Has achieved a rich glowing patination and colour . In excellent condition. The underside of the top with one historic replaced bearer.
A rare miniature table of pleasing scale and design. Would work well to hold a single glass of wine or whisky next to a comfortable chair .
