Description

Large early 20th.c. Queen Anne style combination wardrobe and press c.1920. Plenty of hanging space behind the left and centre doors, plus a long shelf in the top, whilst the right hand side is fitted with four sliding shelves and three drawers. Full length dressing mirror inside the left hand door. Great looking wardrobe with a triple arch top with crisp moulded and crossbanded cornice. Over three Queen Anne shaped door panels with beautifully figured burr walnut veneers, crossbanded edges, inlaid herringbone stringing and raised mouldings on oak groundwork. Moulded plinth raised on short legs with carved scallop detail and pad feet. Walnut veneered sides, oak lined interior, drawers and slides. Original rail, hooks, pierced brass escutcheon plates and label for the London makers Spillman & Co. Excellent colour and condition. Keys supplied.
