Lancaster Antiques has dated this piece to the Victorian era.
There is a brass rope effect around the centre of the dish - see photos 3 and 5.

The brass shields are finely patterned and have only been lightly cleaned - (photo 4 )- and the quality of the pietra dura and brass workmanship shows this was made for something or someone special - the photographs do not do it justice.

The tazza is approximately 29.5cm in diameter and it is 8cm in height with the set pietra dura pieces standing a little proud making it about 9cm in height, and it is in very good condition.
The base or stand was originally black and it has been lightly polished. To view the item, please contact us as we no longer sell through a retail outlet.
Postage and packing within the UK only is included in the price and for outside areas or abroad, please contact us to discuss delivery - thank you.
