Antique Silver Vertex Half Hunter Pocket Watch

Antique silver Vertex half hunter pocket watch, 1919.

The watch has a signed stem-winding movement, with 15 jewels, which is working nicely. The movement is protected by an inner hinged cover which has a slight indentation and some marking where it has been opened in the past.

The watch itself measures 50mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The case is silver and there are hallmarks inside the three covers for London (import mark), 1919. The case is in good condition. The front cover has a small lens surrounded by enamel filled Roman numerals which are chunky in design, very popular around this period and going into the 1920s.

The winding crown pushes in to open the front cover. Inside there is an acrylic lens which is in good condition. The signed enamelled dial is in lovely condition and has the special half hunter hour hand which means the time can be read when the front cover is closed.

The watch will be sent in a new presentation box.
