Sheraton Burr Yew-wood Half Round Card Table. Circa 1790

Description

Fine and rare Georgian Sheraton veneered highly figured burr yew-wood half round card table having kingwood cross-banding to top and frieze and boxwood line inlay to fore edges and legs. The square tapered legs terminating in brass socket casters. The rear legs both gated to swing out to support top when open. All in fine original condition with just a couple of minor veneer repairs. Top is flat. Stunning rich deep golden colour with great waxed patina. A wonderful table. Not seen one like this in yew for a long time.
