Played on nine tubular gongs and striking the hour on a larger tubular gong. The superb arched brass dial having fine silver-plated dials with gilded and raised numbers and exceptional engraved and pierced spandrels. The mahogany case having a removable hood which has a swan neck pediment joined with tied ribbon and wreath carving. The canted corners with decorative well carved ribbons and graduated harebells, the sides having silk backed sound frets. The frieze below having applied carved drapes leading to the full-length bevel edged glass door which shows the polished brass weights, pendulum and nickel plated gongs. To each side are turned and well carved columns with Corinthian capitals. The base having a wonderful panel adorned with a carved basket of flowers with patraes to the corners.
