English Sterling Silver Magnifying Glass by Sampson Mordan - 1925

Description

A wonderful large desk magnifying glass by the highly sought-after and collectable silversmith, Sampson Mordan and Co. Ltd.; fully hallmarked for London 1925.

The frame around the magnifier and the handle are all sterling silver. The glass is the original with surface scratches commensurate with age along with a tiny fleabite to the lens and a couple of minor bruises to the frame; mentioned purely for accuracy. A good magnification and perfectly usable.

A lovely find measuring 6" x 3 1/2".
