Antique English Sterling Silver Ring Box for Three Rings

1900 - 1920

Description

A wonderful late Victorian / Edwardian solid or sterling silver ring box with a fitted blue interior created to store three rings; the interior of the lid is gilded.

The top of the box is gently domed with a riot of decoration including floral details surrounding a highly deocorative cartouche to the centre which could be engraved if desired.

The underside of the box bears a full English hallmark for Birmingham 1901 together with the makers mark CS*FS for Cornelius Desormeaux Saunders & James Francis Hollings -Frank- Shepherd.

Excellent condition, measuring 4 3/4" long x 1" x 1".
