Description

Rare early 19th.c. leather and brass bound campaign chest c.1830. Good sized chest in solid camphorwood, a fragrant and pest resistant timber, retaining the original thick black leather cover, protective brass edge mouldings and decorative brass studwork. Original handles, hinges, lock and chain stay. Original paper lining to the interior. Raised on period brass castors. Very good condition, cleaned and waxed in our workshops.
