Description

A stunning late nineteenth century box made from gilded brass or bronze, on four highly decorative legs and the sides intricately pierced of reticulated panels.

The top is inset with a perfectly preserved tablet of Russian Malachite without damage and a good glossy patina.

Dating to c.1890 / 1900, it remains in excellent condition. The footprint measures 3 1/2" x 2 3/4" x 2"; the Malachite tablet measures 2" x 1 7/8".
