Description

Delightful late Georgian oak lowboy or single drawer side table c.1800. A superb example of the form, note the mahogany crossbanding and herringbone stringing to the solid oak top and drawer front. Simple shaped apron and pierced brackets to the front. Square legs tapering to unusual carved tassel feet. Very attractive period handles, the backplates cast with a leaping stag. Oak sides and drawer linings. Some wear to the top, otherwise very good colour and condition. Cleaned and waxed in our workshops.
