Collinge Antiques has dated this piece to the Edwardian era.
Probably originally intended for sheet music, ideal for office filing or stationery. In solid walnut with a shaped gallery and moulded edges to the top, raised and fielded door panels and bracket feet front and rear. Original Art Nouveau or Art & Crafts style copper plated handles. Original maker’s label to the rear for Eddershaw & Son of Swansea.

Also fitted to the rear is a silver plate plaque recording the cabinet as having been gifted (together with a case of cutlery and a purse of gold) to a Mr W. A Davies by the Swansea Liberal Terminating Building Society and dated March 1903. Shadow mark to the top of the cabinet where the plaque was originally attached (could be replaced there if preferred). Otherwise excellent colour and condition, cleaned and waxed in our workshops. Key supplied.
