George V Silver Bridge Trump Marker by William Vale & Sons, Birmingham 1915

1900 - 1920
Description

This is a good quality and good size solid silver trump marker. These playing card markers are few and far between and this one is a wonderful example. The loaded stepped circular base with rectangular silver frame terminating in ball finials. The hanging ivory cards painted with the four suits, no trumps and scoring numbers.

Underside lined with Morocco leather.

Hallmarks:

W.V&S for William Vale & Sons.

Date letter "q" for 1915.

Birmingham Assay mark.

Lion Passant.

Dimensions:

Height: 7.5 cm -3 inches.

Width of frame: 5 cm -2 inches.

Diameter: 6.5cm - 2.4 inches.

Condition:

Very good.

Silver base and frame in excellent condition.

Very minor dings round the silver casing.

Sits evenly on flat surface.

Good set of marks.

Cards complete and clean.
