Description

A wonderful Edwardian hip flask made from sterling silver with a removable drinking cup. The flask is shaped to fit in a pocket and the cup lavishly gilded on the inside. The hinged lid has a bayonet type fitting and is opened by a twist and lift action.

Both the flask and cup are fully hallmarked for the highly sought-after Chester assay office and the letter stamp for the year 1907, Edwardian in era. The makers initials are also present for the silversmith, Marples & Beasley.

Excellent condition measuring 5 1/4" tall x 3 1/8" x 1 1/4" thick.
