Description

A rare find, a magnificent Victorian toast rack, which would look equally at home on a desk and used as a letter rack / holder.

It is in the form of a Rowing boat / gig with lovely detail including fixed seats, the rope at the front and the flag at the back. The divisions are created by upward crossed oars.

The underside is fully marked by the quality London silversmith, Benetfink. Made by silverplate, it remains in superb condition and dates to c.1880, late Victorian in era. 10" x 3 1/4" x 7" tall to top of ring handle.
