Silver Antiques Online has dated this piece to the Victorian era.
The handle is decorated with engraved C Scroll and Acanthus Leaf decoration and the mount is applied to the Cut Glass Body which is decorated with Trellis and Star decoration and has a Star Cut Base.
This beautiful Jug is in excellent condition with no damage to the glass whatsoever and very little sign of wear or use which is unusual given this is now over 120 years old.
A fabulous Antique Claret Jug which would look superb in any setting.

The Lid leaves a small gap to one side when closed – nothing much but mentioned for accuracy.
