This is an early Victorian hallmarked sterling silver dessert fork. It was made by Chawner & Co and assayed in London in 1849. It has a detailed and ornate handle, with a lozenge mark to the reverse, and monogrammed.
It appears to have some discolouration to the base of one prong, possibly an old repair, and some mild general wear and tear.
It weighs 29g (0.96 ozt).
