Description

Charming Oak Cased Grandfather Clock with 8 Day Striking Movement. Brass Dial with Silvered Chapter Ring & Plaque Inscribed John Jeffery’s Cirencester Working there between 1747-57.

Brian Loomes Further lists him as being Apprenticed in 1734 to Daniel Window of Stroud (Glos) whose Daughter he Married. He later went to London and then to Worcester 1757-64. Name usually spelt Jefferis. He was succeeded at Cirencester by John North.

We understand from the last owners that this clock was bought in 1983 with the assistance of their Father from an Antique Clock Shop Trade Contact having been restored. (Details can be provided). In our opinion, it is still in excellent condition. We have Inpected, Dusted, Oiled, Tested it and in our opinion, it is still in Excellent Restored Antique Working Condition. Keeping Good Time with Working Date Chapter.
