Description

This antique French marble top coffee table has the original painted finish & is naturally distressed with loads of character. You can see the original reddish under layer showing in places beneath the paintwork which is embellished with gilt work features. It looks very old, but it’s hard for me to date exactly because I don’t handle a lot of painted furniture. It does look like it’s over 100 years old. The marble top which just sits loose on top has wonderful patterns & compliments the base. Not sure if it’s original to the piece, but this is how I acquired this table in a part exchange.
