Description

A beautiful mahogany chest of drawers dating from the mid 19th Century. Excellent quality and very well made with a lovely rich patina and an attractive bow-front. It is set on turned feet and has its original turned knobs.

It is in good condition for its age. The drawers open well, having had their runners recently replaced or repaired, and are generally clean and tidy inside. There are the usual small signs of wear, some minor marks and stains and knocks but nothing detrimental. Some of the colour or polish is slightly wearing on the drawer fronts but they have been cleaned and waxed to retain their aged patina. They are strong and sturdy and overall display beautifully.
