A truly unusual and quite spectacular Victorian inkstand made from cast polished bronze standing on cast reticulated feet. The gallery around the back is also pierced or reticulated featuring a mythical figure to the centre.The base is enamelled in a lovely rich terracotta colour engraved with a scroll motif and below a lovely oval belt and buckle motif.There are two polished brass supports to rest a dip pen and two circular shaped cradles to accommodate the unusual circular inkwells.
