Fine quality Victorian mahogany pedestal desk by Maple & Co. The top with a new tan leather insert, spindled gallery and two inkwells between two raised sections with brass gallery and small top drawers. The base with nine further drawers all of a good hand-cut dovetailed construction with mahogany linings, working Hobbs and Co. locks with keys and brass plate handles. Standing on turned legs terminating in brass castors.
