Description
-Welcome to Mersham Manor Antiques- An outstanding quality Georgian revival walnut and burr-walnut occasional table.
Circa 1920. Perfect height for use as a coffee table. The skill used to construct this delightful table is very evident. The table has been aged very convincingly and does appear to have the age off something from the George II era. The cabriole legs are particularly lovely, having such warmth and character. The carving is beautifully detailed. Having griffin heads, feathers, bell-flowers, ring-turning, ending in boldly carved claw & ball feet. Above is a rectangular shaped top, over a gorgeously shaped apron, again echoing the designs from the George II, early 18th century. Having lovely richly coloured and figured burr-walnut veneers. A beautiful item which has a great presence. In excellent antique condition. Expected signs of age and use. Historical repair to the top of one of the legs, a minor crack is slightly visible, this has been expertly repaired and is strong, sturdy and solid. Very solid sturdy and strong. The dimensions are.
