Wonderful French silver-mounted Rock Crystal claret jug; of neo-classical form with Rococo style silver mountings and "swirl" design to the body, Made by Edmond Tetard, the silversmith to the King of France, and much favoured by French aristocrats of the time, this is a truly great piece. Well hallmarked with maker's mark and the Minerva's head showing the finest grade (950) silver. Just beautiful.
