Mytton Antiques - Jerrard Nares has dated this piece to the 1860s.
The rails enclosing a double lattice mesh, finished to the bottom with a raised brass frieze, and resting on a concave profile brass foot rail. The interior ends with bow fire tool holders, and the base plate with raised brackets to hold the bottom of fire tools.
Date c 1860.
