A Rare Cunard Elkington Silver Plated Pepper Grinder

An unusual silver plated pepper grinder by the great Elkington & Co. To the front is a beautiful armorial 'The Cunard Steamship Co. Ltd. and the mechanism is made by Peugeot Freres. The top unscrews to facilitate re-filling with peppercorns and the body is decorated with a band of leaves. An interesting collector's item of maritime ware and a good example, both practical and decorative. Dimensions below.
