Berthold Mueller was an import firm, who distributed a lot of Neresheimer silver. The firm changed its name in 1915 to Berthold Muller and was listed as wholesale silversmiths and jewellers.
B. Neresheimer & Sohne, Hanau, Germany offered a wide range of highly decorative objects and other sumptuous sideboard pieces. Hanau silver was largely imported in UK between the end of the 19th and the beginning of the 20th century.

Chester Import Marks.
925 for silver purity.
Date letter "H" for 1908
BM for Berthold Mueller.
Hanau pseudo marks for Neresheimer.
