Description

A 17th Century Carved Figure of Saint Thomas.

The saint wears a tri coloured crowned mitre, over his long curling hair and beard. Dressed in long robes and a cloak, on his chest is the motif of a pelican feeding her young, he raises one hand in blessing. The whole in the original, somewhat worn, polychrome decoration.

Date c 1630.
