Wall Mounted Oak Candle Box

Description

Circa 1900-1920 an oak candle box with a pair of beautiful and original, brass lion's face hinges.

It measures 42.5cm in length in total, and at the widest part across the lid is 24cm, and the depth is 14cm.

There are no signs of damage or repairs anywhere, and the strip of old felt on the lower part at the back was probably to protect a wall from being knocked as candles were taken in and out.
