It has a distinct country house look and this particular ottoman has superb pierced fretwork sides with the original silk lining behind. It has a hinged lid and is fully lined inside with the original silk lining.
The ottoman is in good condition for its age. It is strong and sturdy and the inside is generally clean and tidy. The needlepoint is generally in good order. There are some small areas of wear and minor losses but no major marks or anything detrimental. There are some general light signs of age and use but no damages to the fretwork and overall it displays beautifully.
