Beautifully engraved solid silver Vesta Case. Unusual swirling design to both the front and the back. The front has initials engraved in the centre (see images), Hinged on one side the lid opens and closes perfectly. When open the hallmarks are visible on the inside lip for the Birmingham Assay Office with a date mark for 1898 and maker''s marks for the renowned silversmiths: Adie & Lovekin, along with the Lion Passant indicating the finest sterling silver.
The inside of the Vesta has a lovely golden gilt finish.
There is a good fastening loop on one side.
Condition: In lovely antique collector''s condition.
