Mytton Antiques - Jerrard Nares has dated this piece to the 1850s.
The stool with a rectangular buttoned and piped seat above the rectangular frame. The frieze swept with carved scrolling leaves, meeting at the centres in rising leaves, and to each corner flowing into scrolled and tapered legs, likewise decorated with foliage, and finished with scrolled toes raised up on castors.
Height 17 inches, width 48 inches, depth 23 inches.
Date c 1850.
