~ French - Circa 1880 ~
~~ Excellent condition ~~
It is well modelled in brass which has a lovely bright and clean finish. The clock is classical in style with a restrained architectural flavour. The clock is fretted with scrolling foliage allowing the pendulum to be glimpsed swinging within the case. The candelabra have matching bases, surmounted by four arm candelabra. The beautiful dial is enamel on copper with a brass centre and is complete with blued steel hands.

The French movement is very good quality and is in excellent clean and running condition having been fully overhauled by our clockmaker. Pendulum is original. It runs for 8 days and strikes the hours and halves on a bell. Click the movie below to hear the bell and watch the clock running!

Condition of the case is excellent with clean and bright finish and there are no losses. Candelabra arms are slightly distorted and there is some minor cracking in one sconce base. The dial is also excellent it, has some very slight chipping around the right hand winding hole and the glass has a couple of nibbles to the edge. It displays beautifully as you can see in the pictures below.

Complete with original pendulum, bell and a suitable key. Full setting up instructions supplied if required.
