Fowey River Antiques has dated this piece to the 1950s.
The watch is the calibre 351 automatic bumper movement and the serial number dates this accurately.
The oscillating weight makes a partial rotation before "bumping" into a cushioning spring.
The dial is in incredible original condition, it has not been retouched or restored in any way. It has a two tone dial which changes colour slightly in the light and is quite striking. It has peacock blue steel hands and it retains its original winding crown with the early flat footed Omega symbol. It has the Art Deco look about it.
It measures 33mm in diameter excluding the winding crown.
A new glass has been fitted and the case has been professionally polished so it is in superb condition.
As you would expect the watch is fully marked on the dial, movement and case.

It is stripped down to its component parts and each part is examined under a microscope for signs of wear, any worn parts are replaced with genuine manufacturers parts. Each part is then thoroughly cleaned in a three stage ultrasonic cleaning process.
The movement is then fully assembled using manufacturers approved oils and lubricants and is carried out in a clean room environment. The movement is then checked and adjusted for accurate time keeping. The cases are polished and sealed.
Obviously this is not a cheap or quick process which is why our watches are sometimes a little more expensive than others but you can be assured our watches will give you reliable and dependable service and will not require further service for many years.
