Pair of 18th Century Chinese Blue & White Plates

Description

A beautiful pair of 18th Century Chinese plates in underglaze blue, profusely decorated with peonies, butterflies and bamboo in a walled garden. The rims of the pair are decorated with peonies, scrolls and trellis. The overall condition of both plates is very good, there are minute nibbles to the glaze on the edges of the plates, these are not easy to detect as you can see in the photographs. This decorative pair of 18th Century plates are a lovely example of traditional Chinese design.
