Description

Antique Swedish marble top commode made up from many different woods, including rosewood, kingwood, satin birch, walnut & many other exotic woods within the inlays & marquetry. It’s in good condition & dates to around the 1910 period. The colourful marble top is original & in good condition too. There are fine quality classical gilt bronze mounts all over & the handles & escutcheons are gilt bronze too. There are fine inlays on the front & sides. The middle section has a lovely marquetry design of a cherub playing a musical instrument surrounded by laurels & the workmanship is very good.
