In A Nutshell Antiques and Interiors has dated this piece to the 1920s.
At its lowest height is is approximately 17 1/2" (45cm) high and at its tallest it is approximately 24" (61cm) high. The seat is 14" (36cm) in diameter.
It is in good condition for its age. The adjustable revolving mechanism runs smoothly and the stool is very stable. The wooden top is original and there are marks underneath that show the stool would have originally had a back piece that has been removed at some point. There are general signs of age and use and some marks on the top but nothing detrimental and it has developed a nice aged patina and displays very nicely. Certainly a very usable piece.
