An 18th Century Apothecary / Drug Jar.

The 18th Century arbarello with an outswept rim, above rounded shoulders, tapering into a central band, and thence rounding to the lower body. The jar on a waisted socle, spreading to a circular foot. The jar decorated with wild flowers, within blue line borders. The central band titled for 'VNG SCRABIE'.

Date c 1740.

Height 7 1/2 inches, diameter 5 1/2 inches.
