Mahogany Bow Front Chest of Drawers C.1820.

Description

Early 19th.c. mahogany bow front chest of drawers c.1820. Just 26" wide with a solid mahogany top with unusual inlaid ebony stringing to the edge. Over four drawers of graduated depth with beautifully figured and symmetrically arranged flame mahogany veneers to the fronts, the edges also strung with ebony and featuring turned ebony and bone knobs. Shaped apron and feet. Oak drawer linings. Later restorations and repairs to the veneers. Excellent colour and condition, cleaned and polished in our workshops.
