The Vintage Wrist Watch Company has dated this piece to the 1940s.
The watch has a 17-jewel Swiss hand-winding movement which is working nicely.
The watch has a heavy 9 carat gold case and there are hallmarks inside the case back for Chester 1946 together with a case maker's mark for Britton & Sons. The case is in very nice condition, as is the lens.

The signed dial is in its original finish with blued steel hands, a subsidiary seconds dial and outer minute markers.
A new leather strap has been fitted.
The watch will be sent in a new presentation box.
