Set Of Four Silver Sampson Mordan Napkin Holders/name Place Markers

Status: This item has been sold
Sold by: The Silver Cabinet

This is an unusual and practical set of four solid sterling silver combination napkin rings and place name holders from the Edwardian era.

They are all clearly hallmarked on the base for Chester 1909, with the maker''s mark of the highly collectable Sampson Mordan.

Shaped as slightly curved rectangles, they simply have a space in the top for the insertion of a name. Marvellous that the surviving name is so formal - Mrs Higgins!
