Description

This is a very fine quality antique lamp stand made up from many beautiful onyx sections with gilt metal applications in-between. The round base section has different coloured onyx or marble with four gilt metal cherubs linking hands with laurels. They are beautifully detailed & there are gilt feet right at the base. This lamp stand is quite unusual & I would date it to around the 1930’s period. I believe it’s in working order, but it really needs to be re-wired for safety reasons. We can arrange this if necessary. It came out of a large London private residence & the shade you can see in some of the images was on it. It maybe original, but might not be to everyones taste. We are offering the shade for free with the lamp stand, but if we are shipping abroad, it would be cheaper to ship without. Either way, please let us know if you want the shade or not, otherwise we won’t send it.
