Art Deco World has dated this piece to the 1930s.
The temptation to keep it is very high. Dating to the 1930's and originates from France. The peach mirrored dial has etched and highly stylized Art Deco numerals. The mirror is in exceptional condition and contrasts beautifully with slightly darker numerals and clock hands. The mirror is enveloped between a heavy copper plated frame, which appears to be solid brass underneath. All of this is rests on a walnut base. The movement is a French 8 day strike on a platform escapement which sounds out the hours and quarters. The tic is reasonably quiet although audible and the strike is a pleasant ding, again not particularly loud. This clock has been fully and professionally serviced and so is in very good working order. Comes with a key. We defy the lucky new owner not to fall instantly in love with this awesome timepiece upon arrival. We've included two images of a green version we had of this clock, which was 2016 so that's how rare these clocks are!
