A truly delightful Edwardian solid silver stamp case in satchel form. The front of the case is beautifully engraved with a lovely swirling design. The back is even more charming with a lovely engraved heart shaped cartouch in the centre surrounded by pretty leaves. The case opens like a satchel and is hinged at the top. It has a loop for attachment to one side.
Hallmarks are visible on the front of the case for the Chester Assay Office with a date mark for c.1909 (the mark is not quite legible). The marker''s mark is also visible for Albert Ernest Jenkins.
