FB Antiques has dated this piece to the Victorian era.
Below this, one side is fitted with four drawers, each with glass handles, on the opposing side there are a further four dummy drawers with matching handles. The front of the davenport has two cabriole supports and is raised on castors. This piece is in nice original condition, though the writing surface shows signs of age related shrinkage, and there is some veneer loss to the the underside of the writing surface.
