Puckerings has dated this piece to the Victorian era.
The forks are made from sterling silver, made by the silversmith, Martin Hall and Co., each hallmarked for Sheffield 1873.

The silver ferrules are embossed with a grape and vine design leading to the finely engraved fork.
The handles are made from thick solid Mother of Pearl, with it's glossy patina and iridescent qualities, beautifully carved.
Excellent condition with each fork measuring 7" in length and the box measuring 8 1/4" x 6 1/4" x 1".
