Youngs Antiques has dated this piece to the 17th Century.

The legs are finely turned and are joined by peripheral stretchers. The table has had some restorations and a iron brace to the underside of one stretcher. The table has sustained some worm damage throughout its life, originally the table would have been 14ft long but was sawn in half probably sometime in the 18th century due to weight ,as it is a very heavy and a robust table.

The top has some undulations due to ware and movement of the timbers which is to be expected with its age.
Overall the table is in excellent condition and very sturdy.
