Description

A stylish small silver torch in the Art Deco style. This charming example is an opera or theatre programme torch. The tubular body has engine turned decoration, with a push button end to light the torch. It has a domed terminal in black bakelite, surrounding the bulb. The small dimensions suggest that this smart item would have been kept in the pocket or handbag for evening use when reading a programme. A delightful example of usable silver from the Jazz Age.
