Victorian Sterling Silver Snuff Box 1896

19th century
Description

A superb ANTIQUE SILVER PILL BOX or SNUFF BOX of rounded rectangular form with the lid and sides decorated with a c-scroll and floral pattern with a central blank cartouche. The lid and base have crimped edging and the base is of plain undecorated form. Inside the original gilt coating is still present.

This lovely Silver Box was made by S. Blankensee & Sons in 1896 and despite being over 120 years old, this superb Antique Snuff or Pill Box is in excellent condition with very little signs of age and would make a wonderful gift or would add to any collection.

Condition:

Used / Excellent

There is no damage and no repairs.

Some wear / staining to the internal gilt coating.

Dimensions:

Width – 1.75” (44mm) / Depth – 1.25” (32mm) / Height – 0.75” (20mm)

Weight – 18 gm / 0.58 ozt
